In addition the Committee agrees to the grant

to the Police Welfare Fund being amended to $5,000, which was the figure originally agreed upon.

The nett effect of these recommendations is to reduce expenditure on the Head from $13,250,877 to $13,245,721.

HEAD 41. - SUPREME COURT.

In order to provide more adequate staff for the new third court which is now in the course of construction, the Committee recommends the inclusion of t wo new posts of Interpreter and Court Usher. In addition a new post of Woman Confidential Assistant is recommended for the purpose of transcribing judgments for permanent record.

The result of these recommendations is to increase expenditure from 414,701 to $422,381.
